Spring Fling

I am taking a break from Sunday Treasures this week to share something exciting with you guys.

I've been fighting a very stubborn cold and was in bed for several days.

(Not that I'm complaining. I totally forgot how entertaining Maury is).

Anyways, when I got better, I gave myself a facial and made my own lip scrub, as my lips were in serious need of repair.

Making your own lip scrub is so easy, and I just wanted to share the recipe with you guys.

THE RECIPE

I used a VERY simple method.

I mixed some honey with sugar (white or brown could be used) and put it into a little clear jar.

If you want it a little rougher, you can add more sugar.

(Make sure to label it Lip Scrub, as you dont want hubby to think its something else.)

RECIPE #1

Basically, a good amount is:

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon white or brown sugar

RECIPE #2

In the past, I have also done a lip scrub using the following (but with a toddler around who LOVES Strawberries, finding two uneaten strawberries is a miracle):

2 full strawberries

Sugar

You mash the strawberries with the sugar and apply on your lips.

(The strawberry has acids that when mixed with sugar, exfoliates your lips.)

There are a ton of other ways that you can make lip scrubs but these are the ones I have tried personally and I find them awesome because they use ingredients that are readily available in our kitchen.

Now, you are ready for Summer with soft and shiny lips.

I tested it on hubby and my kid, both LOVED it and were sporting soft lips.

Make sure to check out our shop, as we added a ton of new beauties that are sure to match with your lovely lips.

Would you like to know how to make your own facial scrub?

I will share that with you next week.
