Me day!

Today I turn 39.  One more year and I turn the big "40".  Age never really mattered to me but I have to admit that things changed after I turned 35.  I don't know if it has to do with age persay or maybe it was the result of having my second child after turning 35 but I experience more aches now than I ever did before.  That being said, I still cannot believe I'm almost 40, it seems like yesterday I was in my early 20s without a care in the world :)

I thought I would blog today to share with you things you don't know about me.

I was born and raised in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

I learnt to sew because my mother was a seamstress and I was very tall for my age, so I often made my own pants when I was in high school and into my early twenties.  Jeans were another matter when I was younger, so I resorted to wearing boy's jeans while in high school because they came in longer lengths.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Concordia University, Montreal, QC.

I was a member of the Canadian Militia (infantry soldier) for 3 years while I was studying at University.

I have a College Diploma in Pharmacy Tech from Humber College, Toronto, ON.

I gave up a great paying job as a Regulatory Assistant for a veterinary pharmaceutical company to stay home and raise my children.

I can be a little obsessive about things.  I cannot tell you how many nights I have spent awake thinking about my Etsy shop and what to make next or what kind of embellishment to add to a new hat.  It's my obsessiveness that doesn't allow me to sell anything that I'm not 100% happy with!

Vintage Feel Boutique Head Bands

While waiting for my new order of clothes and accessories to come in a dye up I had a little fun with satin, silk, lace, feathers, and jewels.

I wish they were practical enough for my little one to wear every day, but I wouldn't hesitate putting one of these on for a photo shoot, a birthday party, or a wedding. How adorable would the flower girl be in one of our peacock feathered bands?

I have plenty more designs up my sleeve, just need to find the time to get them done!

Soft elastic bands are available in sizes 0-6 and 6-12 months, our lace can be cut for any size from new born to adults.
